Overall excellent for the money and Really good customer service

This is my second Scriveiner pen. The first a ballpoint similar to this that has many miles of writing and refills and is still perfect. Like the ball point, this is nicely weighted. Not too heavy, but not at all cheap. The pen has good weight and balance. I like the feel with it posted, and, you can write with it unposted pretty well. The nib writes smoothly, maybe just a bit scratchy, but that seems to be diminishing as I use it more. And, this is a fine nib as opposed to a medium. This pen starts right up, even after sitting overnight (I keep my inked fountains horizontally, so your experience might vary). There is no tapping, or wetting needed. There is no skipping or drop outs.I want to note the EXCELLENT customer service. You will see in the video I questioned how loose the grip is once loosened from the barrel when unscrewing. I contacted Scriveiner on instagram and they had me send a video, which they responded to within an hour saying it was normal and, if the pen starts loosening when it is seated, they will be happy to take care of it. I put the video here because some may not like the amount of loose and slop this grip has when unscrewing. For me, once the grip is tight on the barrel, there is no issue and the pen is solid and really performs very well. I can live with the looseness. AND, it does seem out of sorts a bit considering how well built this pen is overall. I don't have fountains that are this sloppy when unscrewing them to fill. Overall though, especially for the money, an excellent pen and very excellent and caring customer service. i would buy another Scriveiner without hesitation.

Great pen

This is my favorite fountain pen & first one from Scriveiner. I absolutely love it! The red one makes me think of Christmas. My next pen will be the British Racing Green one.

Thank you so much for your wonderful feedback! 😊 We're thrilled that you love your Scriveiner fountain pen. The red does have a festive charm! We hope you’ll enjoy the British Racing Green just as much. Happy writing! ✍️✨

Very very smooth nib. No scratching or bleeding.

I have two of these pens. Lovely smooth nibs. I also have several Lamy pens because I love their triangular ergonomic grip. But I prefer the Scrivener nib, because it's very smooth. I don't care what the outside of the pen looks like as long as the nib is smooth. I use the medium nib. I also use a big fat Mont Blanc. Like a cigar. it's good on high quality paper otherwise it has a lot of resistance on cheaper paper.I would like a fatter Scriveiner with a Lamy grip. But I can't complain. I am just picky. Overall the Scriveiner is my go to pen.I have been using fountain pens for 70 years.I would welcome any information on smoothe nibs.

Thank you for your feedback! We're delighted you love the smooth Scriveiner nibs and that they’re your go-to pens. Your insights are greatly appreciated—happy writing! ✍️✨

Almost perfect...

I so want to love this pen! The design is beautiful, the color fantastic, the cap design and how it seats onto the pen is amazing! It writes like a dream as it skates across the page! But...By placing the cap on the end of the pen as I write and sketch, it's causing the clear coat to separate from the paint underneath it. I know, I know, it's a minor thing and I should really only care how it writes, but... it's something you can't unsee and I have too many other fountain pens that don't do that. Sorry Scriveiner, this one has to go back.
